Post-Doctoral Fellowship in South Africa
The Demography and Population Studies Programme at theUniversity of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg, South Africa, has announced a call for applications for a postdoctoral fellowship. The deadline is 16 November 2009.
The context of the post Doc is that the Fogarty International Centre, USA, are funding postdoctoral fellowships in the Wits Demography and Population Studies Programme through a collaboration with the University of Colorado and the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), Nairobi. The fellowships foster transition from a PhD to a professional, research or academic position in Africa, and are open to graduates in demography and other population-related fields with a PhD degree from an industrialized-country university.

* Two writing samples (journal publications or chapters of PhD thesis)
